How to clean the electromechanical components of hydraulic Center Rest support machine?

Dec. 04, 2025

Hydraulic center rests and self-centering center rests, as key components of every mechanical device, primarily serve a guiding and supporting function to ensure high machining accuracy.

Therefore, many mechanical devices require these components to have high guiding precision and motion stability.

During operation, the machining process generates corrosive dust and debris, which, after prolonged operation,

accumulates on the surface of the mechanical components, significantly impacting the efficiency of many machines.

Furthermore, this can cause pitting on the shaft surface, directly shortening the lifespan of the machinery.

To ensure normal and stable operation and maintain machining quality, thorough cleaning of the mechanical components is essential.

However, please note: when cleaning the hydraulic center rest, prepare lubricating oil and a dry cloth.

For cleaning the hydraulic center rest components, move the cutting head to the right, locate the corresponding area, and wipe it with a dry cloth until it is bright and clean.

Apply a small amount of lubricating oil and slowly move the cutting head up and down several times to ensure even distribution of the lubricant. For cleaning the roller guide rails,

move the crossbeam to the inside, open the bearing end caps on both sides of the mechanical component, locate the corresponding parts,

and wipe the contact areas of the guide rails and rollers with a dry cloth. Then move the crossbeam to clean the remaining areas.
